Usage Alerts

To help you keep track of your Post-Paid Mobile usage we offer free alerts via SMS or email. Optus will let you know via a helpful SMS when you've reached 50%, 85% and 100% of your mobile included monthly value for standard talk and text, or data - whichever comes first.

If you have a data only plan, for example an Optus Employee Tablet plan or Mobile Broadband plan, we will let you know via an email when you have reached 50%, 85% and 100% of your included monthly value for data.

For more information please see this page

Usage alerts are not generated in real-time and a delay of up to 48 hours may be experienced. Due to these potential delays all percentage usage will be an approximation. In the last 48 hours of your billing cycle you may not receive alerts, top up messages or updated details of your usage. If your usage triggers more than one alert within 48 hours you may receive only one alert.

Porting Support

How do I transfer my mobile number to an Optus Corporate Employee Plan?

You can transfer or 'port' your existing mobile number to a new Optus Corporate Employee Plan account; however a mobile number can only be ported during the ordering process.

Please note:
Your mobile number must be active for us to successfully bring it over to the Optus network.
If you've already activated your Post-Paid account and have been allocated a mobile number, you will not be able to replace the new number with your old number.

How will I know if my port is successful or rejected?

You will be notified via email if your application has been successful or rejected.

Successful Port:

If successful, your mobile order will be delivered to the Business Address nominated in your application form within 5 - 10 business days dependant on stock availability.

If you are porting a number from another carrier, Optus Consumer prepaid or Optus Consumer post-paid, you will be sent a new SIM card to use with your Phone. Your existing number will be transferred to the new SIM card from 1.00pm the next business day after you receive delivery of your SIM and Handset. This can take up to 4 hours to complete where you will need to switch your handset off and on to refresh it to the Optus Network.

Unsuccessful Port:

If your port has been rejected, you will receive an email from our Customer Care group with the reason for the rejected port and other information needed to complete the port.

What will it cost?

Sometimes if you cancel a contract with another provider early, they may charge you a fee. Be sure to check with your existing provider first as Optus is not liable for any fees incurred as a result of you transferring your mobile service from another carrier.

Who can I contact about a current porting request, or for more information about the porting process?

If you have any questions, concerns or wish to make a complaint about an existing port, you can contact the Mobile End User team on 1300 133 334 or visit https://www.optus.com.au/enterprise/contact-us
