Proof of occupancy

If there's an active service at your new address, it can delay / prevent your new connection from being completed.

To allow your connection to proceed, Optus must sight a proof of occupancy document as authorisation to seek disconnection of another service belonging to another individual (regardless of the service provider responsible).

How to send your proof?

  1. Take a clear photo or scan of your document(s).
  2. Email it to Noreplyproofdocs@optus.com.au and include:
  • Your name
  • Address
  • Settlement or move-in date

  • Letter from the real estate agent and the rent receipt from the New Occupant
  • Letter from the real estate agent and the bond payment receipt

Optus will collect and use your personal information, including your proof of occupancy documents, to verify that you are the new occupant and at the correct address to process your NBN Order.

If you do not provide this information, we may be unable to complete your request or connect your service.
