Pro-rata is just another way of saying that we may only charge you for the days that you had access to the service.
For example, if your plan's monthly access fee is $100 (30 days) and you signed up half way through your billing cycle, we'll only charge you $50 (15 days).
Here's what pro-rata looks like on a bill.
You can see that the service started on 8th May and the plan cost $44 a month. The billing cycle ends on 14th May, so the customer was only charged $10.26 (7 days).
