Repair or replace a Home Phone handset
Here are your options if a handset rented or purchased from Optus requires repair or replacement.
Note: Optus no longer rents or sells handsets, except for TTY equipment for customers with a disability.
Purchased handsets
If your handset was purchased from Optus or provided by us free of charge and you believe it may still be in warranty, see our Device Warranties page. Here you will find the warranty for your handset which will provide information about:
- the warranty period for your handset
- arranging repairs or replacement
If the device is out of warranty, you can purchase a new handset from your preferred electronics retailer.
Rented handsets
We are unable to repair or replace rental handsets that are faulty, as Optus no longer supplies them. Contact us to have the rental charges for the faulty handset removed from your bill, then purchase a new handset from your preferred electronics retailer.
