Officeworks Voice and Data plan FAQs

In this article we'll go through commonly asked questions about the ordering process for Officeworks Voice and Data plans.

Once you select to sign up with Optus from the Officeworks website, you'll be taken to the Optus sign up page where you'll be informed of the steps required to sign up.

These offers are currently only available online.

Yes, you will be able to keep your phone number on our Officeworks Voice plans. For more information on switching your phone number to Optus, click here.

First, check your current contract end date. If you are still in contract there may be charges associated with recontracting (see your Critical Information Summary to confirm).

If you are not in contract you can recontract by following the sign up process on the Officeworks website.

If you are new to Optus, you will be provided a new Optus SIM card. If you are an existing Optus customer, you can use your existing SIM or change to an eSIM. This can be requested as part of the Optus sign up process.

The application for the Optus service is to be allocated to the account holder who is responsible for all conditions and payments. Adding a new service to an existing account is permitted (after review and approval), and the service will be accountable to the account holder.

Your discount will be applied in the checkout when you purchase your new device from Officeworks. If you can't see your discount in the checkout, follow the link in your confirmation email from Officeworks and it will be applied automatically to your purchase.

No, your unique code is linked to your Officeworks account and cannot be transferred to another user.

The unique code can only be used with devices that are eligible for an Optus plan and cannot be used to purchase any other Officeworks merchandise.

Your device will be provided at no cost to you (subject to delivery fees and any other items in your checkout). Any remaining discount is non-transferrable and forfeited at the time of checkout.

Yes. You'll pay for the device in full (less any discount) from Officeworks at the time of purchase and receive a regular monthly bill from Optus for your plan charges.

Once your service has been activated you can contact Optus to discuss changes for your service. Please refer to the terms of the contract for details of changing your service within the contract period.

The application review process generally takes between 2-3 minutes. If there is a need for additional information or review, it may take up to 24 hours.

When your device is delivered to you a proof of delivery will be sent to Optus. When Optus receives the proof of delivery your service will be activated within 4 hours.
If your device has not been activated after 4 hours post-delivery, please contact us.
