How to activate a Static IP address

An IP address is a unique sequence of numbers that identifies any device connected to the internet. In most cases Optus assigns dynamic IP addresses, where your device will receive a new IP address each time you connect. However, in some circumstances you may need a Static IP, which stays the same every time you connect.

Static IPs are available to business customers on eligible Fixed Broadband plans.

Static IPs are not available to customers who use the Optus Cable Broadband network.

Depending on your plan, there may be a monthly fee for a Static IP.
