Your weekend of unlimited data will start from 12.01am Saturday and end at 11.59pm Sunday (local time) provided you have an active recharge that was applied with AutoRecharge on Optus Flex Plus $40, $44, $50, $54 and $64 plans. Expired and manual recharges are excluded. Please note available between 12.01am Sat and 11.59pm Sun (local time) (eligible AutoRecharge must be processed by 11.59pm Fri). If it is processed on a Saturday, you’ll receive access to unlimited data for the Sunday only. This offer is available until withdrawn. Fair Go Policy applies.

Setting up AutoRecharge in My Optus app is easy:

  1. Open My Optus app app.optus.com.au. If you don’t have it, download it from the app store on your phone (connect to WiFi to do this, or use your data).
  2. In the app, tap ‘Recharge’, then ‘Manage AutoRecharge’.
  3. Select ‘Set up AutoRecharge’, then select your AutoRecharge amount, and follow the prompts. You’ll also need to add your credit or debit card.
  4. We’ll send a confirmation via SMS once it’s all set up.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I access Unlimited Weekend Data?

Want unlimited weekend data so you don’t need to worry about running out? If you’re a new or existing customer with AutoRecharge on Optus Flex Plus $40, $44, $54, $50 and $64 plan you can access unlimited data every weekend. If you’re a new customer, all you need to do is turn on AutoRecharge during SIM activation. Existing customers can turn it on at any time in My Optus app and unlimited data weekends will be available from your first eligible AutoRecharge.

Can I access an unlimited data weekend if my AutoRecharge is on a weekend?

An eligible AutoRecharge must have been processed by 11.59pm on Friday (local time) to receive access to unlimited data for the entire weekend that follows.  If your first eligible AutoRecharge is applied on the Saturday you will get unlimited data on the Sunday only. If your AutoRecharge happens on a Sunday, you will not get the unlimited data weekend until the following weekend.

If you keep an eligible AutoRecharge turned on, unlimited data will continuously be applied to your service on the weekend (12.01am Sat to 11.59pm Sun).

Can I buy an Unlimited Data Day during an Unlimited Data Weekend?

Yes you can, but we do not recommend that you do this as there’s no benefit when you already have access to unlimited data at uncapped speeds on the weekend. Please think carefully about whether you need to buy an Unlimited Data Day add-on if you’re eligible for Unlimited Data Weekends.

What is AutoRecharge for Optus Flex Plus?

AutoRecharge is the simple solution for automatically recharging your Optus Flex Plus plan on a regular cycle (on the day of expiry) or when you run low on data (200MB). Set and forget with AutoRecharge.

How can I set up my AutoRecharge?
  • You can set up your AutoRecharge any time via My Optus app
  • You can also turn on AutoRecharge by SMS (Text ‘Menu’ to 9999) if you have a saved payment method.
  • If you’re having issues accessing My Optus app you can contact our Prepaid experts to set up AutoRecharge for you on 133 937 or head into store.
Can I cancel my AutoRecharge anytime?

Yes you cancel your AutoRecharge anytime via My Optus app, by SMS (Text ‘Menu’ to 9999) or in store. You’ll still be able to use your inclusions until your current recharge expires but your service won’t automatically recharge and you’ll need to recharge manually instead.

AutoRecharge discount: Automatically applied to each eligible recharge made via AutoRecharge on Optus $40, $44, $54, $50 and $64 plan. Excluding first recharge applied at activation. AutoRecharge must be turned on by 11.59 on day before recharge expiry to be eligible for discount on subsequent AutoRecharges. Excl. manual recharges even if AutoRecharge turned on at time.
