At Optus, we felt families’ struggle and wanted to help make life better by designing a home internet plan that fit what was going on in households across Australia now. To do that, we had to listen, so we went to the experts: real Australian families.

Here’s what we heard:                  

• Increased speed and reliability: Families need fast and reliable internet so that the whole family can be online at the same time. 35% of families said they had issues with speed and 32% had issues with reliability.
  
  
• Better WiFi coverage: Families want better WiFi coverage so they can study, work and play from anywhere in the home. 21% had issues with internet strength throughout the home, and were frustrated with coverage gaps in some rooms. This just doesn’t cut it in a crowded house where every space must be a connected one.
  
  
• An ‘all in one solution’: Hectic schedules simply don’t allow for internet issues. An astounding 46% of families didn’t take action to address the issues they were experiencing, despite being unsatisfied!
  
  
• More entertainment: Time together usually means streaming. With binge-fests and big-nights-in becoming a popular weekend past-time, families want more entertainment options.
