2. Is my area covered?

The Optus 5G rollout has begun, with selected locations throughout Australia already covered. As a part of the Optus national plan, the number of 5G sites will be constantly increasing in 2020. The easiest way to see if your area is covered is to head to the Optus 5G coverage maps, which showcases all the areas that are currently serviced. If your area isn’t yet covered, be sure to keep checking - new 5G sites are regularly added. Not available in NT or TAS.

3. My area is covered. How do I get 5G at home?

It’s time for you to get your hands on an Optus 5G wireless modem that will connect you to a whole new digital experience. Come and visit us instore on head to our online shop to purchase your brand new modem. Set up is easy; it’s wireless, so position it as close as possible to your nearest Optus 5G tower using its compass-like capability. For the clearest connection, place it next to a window. 4. I have 5G at home now! But I can't get it on my mobile?

5G is waiting for you, both at home and when you’re out and about. There are already a selection of mobile phones that are 5G capable, so head in to one of our stores or check out our online shop to browse through our current selection. You can enjoy the fast, efficient 5G service and when not in a 5G coverage areas, with a strong 4G+ or 3G connection available where it is available .
