The risk level is activity based, so it imperative to correctly identify the correct WHS risk category.

| These are suppliers Optus has no control or influence over the place of work -goods are delivered electronically and the supplier is generally based within their own premises or work location, at times offshore and does not enter Optus premises. Software licencing etc | These are generally goods only suppliers of telecommunication infrastructure components, construction items, mobile devices, and associated hardware, consumable goods. Small event providers – labour hire – recruitment company supplied admin or managerial roles for project specific work. Small specialist service providers etc – This also applies to office based or customer facing roles in the vendor or retail space. | These are contractors /suppliers that generally perform trades or physical works at an Optus facility – Generally these Suppliers perform high risk tasks; however, the work may not be defined as a construction project They may also contribute to the housekeeping and maintenance functions of services and utilities. – suppliers of goods and services. Such as window cleaning and facility maintenance This also extends to Optus warehousing facilities. | These are contractors /suppliers that perform tasks and activities that require specialist skills and regularly perform high risk activities.
