Usage Alerts: Are sent to you in real time although delays may occur from time to time. You should not rely solely on the alert service to monitor your usage. To get up to speed with your balance, send an SMS containing the keyword "BAL" to 9999 (free of charge) or download the My Optus app.

Recharge vouchers and recharge cards: Must be redeemed by the end date specified on the voucher or card. Expired, lost or stolen vouchers will not be replaced or refunded.

Optus Flex Plus

Bonus Data Offer: Ends 31/03/27, activate by 07/04/27. Available to new services connecting to $40, $44, $50, $54, $64, $200 or $395 Optus Flex Plus only (excludes rate plan changes and SIM swaps). Bonus data applies to first 3 recharges (including activation recharge). First 3 recharges (including activation recharge) must be at $40, $44, $50, $54 or $64 and within 90 days of activation, or $200, $395 and within 3 years of activation to be eligible. Bonus data amount will vary depending on the standard price of your recharge: 70GB for $40; 75GB for $44; 80GB for $50; 85GB for $54; 95GB for $64, 80GB for $200, 110GB for $395. Subsequent recharges will revert to the standard data amount that applies to the relevant recharge purchased. Bonus data expires as per standard recharge expiry but is eligible for data rollover (subject to the applicable "Data Rollover" T&Cs). All for use in AU. Bonus data may take up to 72 hours to apply. Counted in 1KB increments. Will be forfeited if rate plan or MSN changed or if your service is disconnected.

Minimum Total Cost: Min. cost is the recharge amount on the chosen plan (plus $2 for a physical SIM, if applicable).

eSIM: eSIM compatible device required. Service will automatically activate when eSIM order is placed (subject to activation processing times). At this time, your first recharge period will commence and payment will be processed (if you have not paid for your first recharge already). You'll need to download your eSIM profile via My Optus app to use your service.

SIM swaps and plan changes: SIM swaps not available for value SIMs. No inclusions or credit will be transferred during rate plan change to Optus Flex Plus, unless otherwise specified. Once on Optus Flex Plus, customers will not be able to rate plan change their service to another plan.

Recharge expiry: Your recharge will expire in the timeframe specified, or upon your next recharge (whichever is earlier). If you recharge before expiry, any unused days or inclusions not eligible for rollover will be forfeited.

Coverage: All Optus Flex Plus plans include access to the Optus 4G and 5G Standard (non-standalone) Networks (subject to availability). 5G Standard available in selected areas (excluding NT) with a compatible device. Coverage will vary depending on your device and location. Check coverage at optus.com.au/coverage. 

AutoRecharge: If you have AutoRecharge turned on, we will automatically deduct the recharge amount from your saved payment method on the day of recharge expiry (any time from 5.30am on that day) or when your data balance is reduced to 200MB (whichever is earlier). If recharging upon expiry, we will deduct payment on the day of expiry any time from (5.30am AEST/AEDT) and your service will automatically recharge between 11pm and 11.30pm (AEST/AEDT) on the same day. If you need to cancel or change your AutoRecharge, you’ll need to do so before payment for your next AutoRecharge is taken. For AutoRecharge due to low balance (LBAR), your inclusions and expiry timers will reset. Any unused days or inclusions not eligible for rollover will be forfeited. You can change, set up, and turn off your AutoRecharge through My Optus App, or by phone (call 555) or SMS (Text ‘Menu’ to 9999) if you have a saved payment method.

$40, $50 Optus Flex Plus (AutoRecharge only): Only available for new services activated using a $40 or $50 Value SIM or eSIM on or after 28 April 2025 (rate plan changes and SIM swaps are excluded). AutoRecharge setup with a supported credit/debit card is required to activate. AutoRecharge must be maintained to continue to recharge at these recharge options (manual recharges are not available). If you turn off AutoRecharge or your AutoRecharge payment fails, you’ll lose access to these recharge options when your current recharge expires. To keep recharging you’ll need to choose from other available Optus Flex Plus recharge options ($15, $44, $54, $64, $200, $395).

Bonus Included Value: Selected recharge options have a Bonus Included Value component. The value of this component shall be fulfilled via a promotional mechanism, per the value listed against the relevant recharge options in the Flex Plus plan table. Optus may change the way in which the VAS component is fulfilled, from time to time. The bonus VAS inclusion is not redeemable for cash. May take up to 72 hours to fulfil, post successful recharge.

International Talk: Minutes for calls from Australia to standard international numbers in Zone 1 and Zone 2 countries are included on all recharges valued at $40 or more. Eligible Zone 1 and Zone 2 countries are subject to change, see current list at https://www.optus.com.au/prepaid/plans/international-call-rates. Calls are counted in per minute increments. Any usage beyond included value requires purchase of an add on. Excludes non-standard international calls (e.g. premium, special, satellite, overseas toll-free numbers and video calls).

International SMS: Each recharge option includes 50 standard SMS (160 characters per SMS) from Australia to any international destination. Excludes non-standard SMS and MMS. Available to existing customers from first recharge following 10 October 2024.

Add Ons: You must be within an active recharge period to purchase Add Ons. Add Ons are used before the same inclusion type included with your standard recharge (e.g. a $10/5GB MyData Add On will be used before any remaining data in your standard recharge inclusions). If you recharge with the same Add On before your current Add On expires, your inclusions will roll over (excludes Unlimited Data Day and $5 International Talk). Exclusions: Your standard recharge does not include non-standard national or international calls (such as premium/special/satellite/overseas toll-free numbers and video calls), non-standard national SMS/MMS, non-standard international SMS, international MMS and roaming, however these may be accessed by purchasing an Add On. 

Data Rollover: Roll over unused included data up to a maximum of 200GB when you maintain an active AutoRecharge setup, or when you recharge before expiry. Any applicable standard data, promotional bonus Data (where applicable) or AutoRecharge Bonus Data is eligible for rollover, however other bonus data is excluded unless expressly stated otherwise. Any data accumulated over 200GB will be forfeited. Data Rollover will be used after you have used up all data included with your standard recharge, data included in any data Add On, or provided as a bonus in connection with a promotion.

OFFERS

SIM on sale: These terms apply when a SIM is offered at a discounted price. Available online at optus.com.au and in Optus branded retail stores, unless otherwise specified. Excludes airport locations, unless otherwise specified. New services only. SIM includes specific recharge value which can be activated on to current in-market plans of the same value. Inclusions and expiry will depend on available or selected rate plan (if more than one rate plan is available). For physical SIMs (uSIMs), discount applies to SIM purchase only. For eSIMs, you must have My Optus App version 10.20 or later to be eligible for any applicable discount offers, which will be applied to your activation recharge only, unless otherwise specified. Ongoing recharges revert to standard price or as otherwise advertised. Offer available until the date specified in the promotion and may be withdrawn at any time.

Unlimited Data Weekends: Fair Go Policy applies. Available until withdrawn to new and existing services on Optus Flex Plus $40, $44, $50, $54 and $64 recharge options. Current recharge must have been processed via an eligible AutoRecharge transaction before 11.59pm on the preceding Friday to be eligible for the weekend or an eligible AutoRecharge must be turned on at time of activation. Eligible customers can access unlimited data each weekend between 12.01am Saturday and 11.59pm Sunday (local time). If an eligible AutoRecharge instance is processed or expires during the weekend, access will not be updated until the following weekend day (e.g. if processed on Saturday, unlimited data will be provided from 12.01am on the following Sunday). Not available for expired recharges. Only available on the Optus 4G and 5G Standard (non-standalone) network. For use when SIM is in a mobile phone device or tablet that is compatible with our network, access is not guaranteed if your SIM is in a modem or any other device.

AutoRecharge Bonus Data: From 28 April 2025, customers on select Optus Flex Plus recharge options will receive bonus data for each eligible recharge made via AutoRecharge. Also available if AutoRecharge turned on at time of activation. Bonus data amount will vary depending on recharge amount: 5GB on $15; 20GB on $200; 40GB on $395. If AutoRecharge is turned on or off during an active recharge cycle, current data balance will not be impacted until the next eligible AutoRecharge transaction occurs. Excludes manual recharges, even if AutoRecharge turned on. Offer available until withdrawn and may be changed at any time.

AutoRecharge Discount: From 30 September 2026, customers on Optus Flex Plus $44, $54, and $64 recharge options will receive a $4 discount for each eligible recharge made via AutoRecharge. Not available for recharge applied at the time of activation. Customers must turn on AutoRecharge at least one day before recharge expiry to be eligible from next recharge. Discount will be automatically applied when AutoRecharge payment is processed. Excludes manual recharges even if AutoRecharge is turned on at the time. Offer available until withdrawn and may be changed at any time.
