Secure data hosting for Children’s Cancer Institute
Each year 300,000 Australian children are diagnosed with cancer and, sadly, nearly three die of it every week. And while survival rates have improved dramatically in the last 50 years – today 8 out of 10 children do survive – the race is on to find a cure.
To support this critical work, Optus Enterprise and Equinix partnered with Children’s Cancer Institute to create a faster, more cost-effective and secure means of integrating and sharing data with their various collaborators around the world.
Optus has been involved with the Institute for more than 10 years in the Tour de Cure fundraising initiative, and recently came on board as the Institute’s technology partner to provide the type of technological insights that can better support the dramatic improvements in healthcare that are happening both globally and locally.
Watch the video to learn how Optus and Equinix devised a cost-effective, dynamic platform that allows the Institute to easily share an incredible amount of data-rich research that will play an important part in ending childhood cancer once and for all.
