Optus and Lendlease announce major property and technology tie-up
Optus Tech Day 2023 marked a major milestone in the long-term relationship between Optus and global real estate player, Lendlease, with the announcement of a new multi-year partnership that will draw on our respective strengths in technology and property.
The partnership builds on the existing relationship between Lendlease and our parent company, Singtel, who will develop Singtel’s Singapore headquarters into a S$3 billion world-class sustainable workplace featuring the most advanced smart building and digital technologies.
“Optus is thrilled to partner with Lendlease to deliver a seamless mobile first experience. Together, we recognise the value this partnership will deliver for both the Lendlease team as well as the millions of Australians using Lendlease delivered projects every day.” – Stuart Pritchard, VP Enterprise, Optus
The new partnership in Australia will see Lendlease transitioning its mobile and data services to the Optus network – which includes approximately 3,000 services in the 80 locations across Australia where Lendlease operates.
Management of their mobile and mobile broadband services will also be enhanced through a single platform with improved insights and automated asset management. It’s envisaged that this will deliver significant productivity and device lifecycle efficiencies.
On a broader scale, Optus is partnering with Lendlease to roll out its cutting-edge property insights tool, Podium Property Insights (PPI), commencing with Optus’ own state-of-the-art Adelaide office. The PPI platform is a placemaking data and insights solution that seamlessly integrates building occupancy, attendance and operational data and will help us more effectively optimise our office space.
At the heart of the partnership is Optus’ reliable and trusted network, which will enable Lendlease to collaborate and monitor data in real-time to guide decision-making, streamline project management and leverage the benefits of emerging technologies.
Other opportunities for future collaboration on the horizon between our companies include Wi-Fi, integrated networks and IoT managed services.
