Samsung Galaxy S25+ review: Galaxy AI

• New feature – Now Brief⁴

This year, Galaxy AI is all about becoming your AI companion, who’s one step ahead of your every need. Designed to adapt to your natural conversation style with personalised features, the new generation of Galaxy AI is certainly about to make your life easier.

The newest addition to the Galaxy AI suite of features is Now Brief, now also on the Galaxy S25+. As the name implies, Now Brief gives you personalised briefs throughout your day so you can be prepared for your day at a glance.

There are three types of briefs that Now Brief may deliver throughout your day and what they may include:

• Morning Brief: includes temperature notifications, scheduling information, and your Energy Score from the night before
• Midday Brief: includes helpful recommendations for your usual afternoon activities (e.g. driving) and reminders for scheduled calendar events to come
• Evening Brief: includes a recap of your day’s memorable moments and your daily activity targets

Now Brief isn’t the only Galaxy AI feature on the Galaxy S25+, with the new phone also supporting Gemini Live – a free-flowing conversation tool that allows you to brainstorm ideas, prepare presentations, or simply ask questions and get answers.

The Galaxy S25+ has three rear cameras and one front camera, ensuring you capture all your memorable moments in HD quality no matter the angle or perspective. The three rear cameras include 50MP (Wide), 10MP (Telephoto), 12MP (Ultrawide), and the 12MP front camera is more than enough for your everyday selfies.

The Galaxy S25+ also has a boosted ProVisual Engine for capturing, viewing, and editing all the moments you love. The new upgraded Nightography video mode offers less noise and more clarity, where you can shoot in improved 10-bit HDR and worry less about grainy night footage. Portrait Mode is also upgraded with the Galaxy S25+’s new Object-Aware Engine that accurately captures skin tones and textures in various lightings.

The Galaxy S25+ delivers incredible performance with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite processor, customised for Galaxy and offering real-time ray tracing and Vulkan optimisation. Not only is it faster and more powerful than the last generation processor, but the new processor is also more AI capable, with a record 68% faster AI performance NPU⁵. This means the Galaxy S25+ can handle multitasking as well as quickly running AI tools such as Circle to Search and Auto-Trim (for highlight reels).
