It also has an improved Ultra Wide camera from 2.0 MP in the A14 5G to 5.0 MP in A15 5G. Both the Galaxy A15 5G and A14 5G feature three rear cameras and a front-facing selfie camera, designed for casual photography and profile-worthy selfies. However, the new A15 5G model features an upgraded Ultra Wide camera with 5.0 MP resolution (versus the A14’s 2.0 MP), offering an improved camera experience especially for wide landscape photography. It means you can take pictures from further away without compromising on broader landscape details.
The A15 5G’s main 50.0 MP Wide camera, 2.0 MP Macro camera, and 13 MP selfie camera also work together to offer users an intuitive and quality photography experience, with extra camera modes such as Pro, Slow Motion, Hyperlapse, and Night. The A15 5G even offers a Food photography mode which uses the built-in autofocus function to highlight food subjects in frame.
Performance in the A15 5G and A14 5G is quite similar despite having different processors. Both phones boast an octa-core CPU with an estimated speed of 2.2GHz, 2GHz. This means the A15 5G and A14 5G are capable of running your everyday mobile activities, such as browsing the internet, watching videos, and playing casual mobile games.
The Galaxy A15 5G has 4GB memory and 128GB of storage3. The Galaxy A15 5G also offers up to four generations of OS upgrades and five years of security maintenance updates4.

When it comes to display, the Galaxy A15 5G is a clear upgrade from the A14 5G. Not only does it boast the latest Super AMOLED display technology, but it’s also enhanced with Vision Booster which creates smooth, bright, and vivid viewing experiences. The A15 5G display is 6.5 inches large also supports up to 800 nits brightness7 and 90Hz refresh rate.
Arguably, the biggest difference between the A15 5G and A14 5G is the physical size. The A15 5G is noticeably smaller than the A14 5G, not only in physical dimensions but also display. The A15 5G measures 160.1mm x 76.8mm x 8.4mm while the A14 5G is 167.7mm x 78.0mm x 9.1mm. On the bright side, this makes the A15 more pocket-friendly and easier to hold, especially if you’re constantly carrying around your phone.
Despite the size change, A15 5G’s design is still characteristic of the rest of Samsung’s classic Galaxy aesthetic, complete with an accessible fingerprint scanner on the side, and a slightly embedded frame for better grip. It sports your standard camera bumps and right-side volume and power buttons as well.
There’s no denying that the A15 5G boasts notable upgrades to the A14 5G in areas including display, resolution, and camera. However, it’s also important to know that aspects such as performance and battery are largely the same between the two phones. As such, whether you choose to upgrade to the A15 5G depends on your specific mobile needs and design preferences.
You may prefer the A15 5G if you’d like:
