Whether you love the great outdoors or prefer to stream movies at every opportunity, we’ll help you find the phone that suits your lifestyle.

You would’ve heard the recent buzz about the latest smartphones on the market including the Apple iPhone 16. The major players on the tech scene have all launched exciting new phones with new technologies that have everyone talking. Improved battery life, wireless charging, studio-quality cameras, and gaming technologies are just some of the things that have impressed.

Where would we be without our smartphones? I mean, we’d probably be waiting 24 hours to pick up our photos from the photo lab, sift through them to find a couple of decent ones, then post them to friends and family overseas and hope that they don’t get damaged in the 10-day journey. Phew, thanks to smartphones that whole scenario is a just bad dream from a previous life.

Let’s face it, we love our smartphones. We can’t get enough of fast, new technology that connects us to information right at our fingertips. Instantly informed and always finding new and exciting ways to connect and share with friends, family and even celebrities.

Which smartphone suits your lifestyle?

With so many exciting new phones on the market, it’s hard to know where to start. Your friend might be a fantastic budding photographer with different needs to you. Especially if you prefer to spend time practicing your pro-gaming technique.

Let’s break it down for you…

Movie buff? Get a phone with a big screen

If you love the convenience of downloading, streaming and watching movies on your phone while you’re on the go, then you need a phone with a big screen. You should take a look at the iPhone 14 Pro (6.1-inch display size) and iPhone 14 Pro Max (6.7-inch display size). If you’re a Samsung fan, you absolutely must check out the latest Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra’s 6.8-inch display screen.

If you’re riding the wave of anticipation around all the new streaming services – bringing you the latest Comic Book Hero and space fantasy action - then stick with a phone that lets you stream like a Pro.

Outdoorsy and active? Go light and tough

If you spend a lot of time out and about, whether you’re active and outdoorsy on weekends or work on the land during the week, then you should look for a phone that’s light, tough, and includes wireless charging so you won’t get caught out.

This phone from a tech giant is one of the lightest on the market at the moment. It won’t weigh you down, so you will be free to be as active as you want.

Love games? Love a powerful GPU

That’s short for Graphics Processing Unit. We know, it’s a mouthful, but all you need to know is that the more powerful GPU the more sophisticated the gaming graphics are. It’s all about smoother graphics, smoother frame rate, for a smoother gaming experience.

Look for a GPU that is highly efficient like in the newer phones on the market. That way, you can play for longer without any pesky “low batt” pop ups interrupting your next-level concentration.

You should check out the new Samsung S23 Ultra for gaming. The phone sports a 120Hz refresh rate, the latest Snapdragon 8 gen 2 processor and bigger battery life.

Keep those pro-gaming dreams alive with specialised handheld gaming arcades, fit for the whole family.

Budding film maker? Action!

The latest in smartphone technology is impressive to see in action. The biggest companies have released phones that have the ability to film a close-up, wide shot and super-wide shot simultaneously. These different focal lengths mean you can edit different shots of the same clip together. So, sit in your director’s chair and start creating. Pretty sure that’s your first step to winning an Oscar.

Music lover? Headphone jacks are back.

If music is your life force, then you probably have a good set of headphones and know that great sound is usually plugged in. You probably also know that a lot of phones are ditching the headphone jack.

Don’t worry, you can still get a shiny new phone with a headphone jack. Take a look at this range in particular.

With all the amazing phones on offer, you’re sure to find one that suits your lifestyle.
