As a long-time supporter, Optus was proud to sponsor this year’s Gympie Music Muster held on 22-25 August.

Optus has provided network services to the event for half the event’s 40-year history and was onsite again in the Amamoor Creek State Forest approximately 180km north of Brisbane, providing festivalgoers with mobile coverage despite the remote location.

Optus Local General Manager for South Queensland Nick Channell said the company was dedicated to fostering connections in regional Australia.

“Optus is thrilled to continue supporting the Gympie Music Muster, an event that’s deeply embedded in the heart of regional Queensland,” he said.

“Over the four days, we’re ensuring thousands of festivalgoers stay connected, enhancing their overall experience.

“The Muster and Optus have had a partnership for 20 years. The Muster is an iconic celebration that draws music fans from across the country to the Amamoor Creek State Forest,” Mr Channell said.

“In such a remote setting, reliable coverage is vital, and Optus is proud to provide the technology that keeps everyone connected.”

Optus also gave festival attendees the chance to take advantage of The Optus Network Trial – free for seven days. It’s talk, text and 30GB of data for free for seven days, with no catch by downloading the My Optus app on an eSIM capable device to sign up and staff were on-site for the Muster to help patrons.
