Optus has switched on a new tower at Warooka in regional South Australia’s “gateway to the bottom end”. The new tower will strengthen Optus’ services across the town and provide locals with competition and choice to join our best network ever.
The Optus mobile tower will provide connectivity to consumers and business customers allowing them to stay connected while working, learning or on the go.
Optus Territory General Manager for Regional South Australia Rob Seymour said, “We’re thrilled to be able to provide mobile coverage to the Warooka Township and offer local residents and businesses genuine choice for their telecommunication services.”
“We know that right now, more than ever, it's so important to our customers to have access to a reliable network and we’re proud to be able to offer our fast 4G service providing optimal speeds for streaming and downloading content.”
Federal Member for Grey, Rowan Ramsey, congratulated Optus on its continuing investment in Grey.
“Optus has shown a real commitment to providing greater mobile coverage in regional Australia,” he said. “The Government has provided joint funding for more than 1200 new mobile towers across Australia through its Mobile Black Spot program and Optus has announced 19 towers in Grey under this program which will make a huge difference to those areas.”
“But this tower at Warooka is entirely their own investment and shows a real commitment to servicing rural Australia.”
Optus continues to invest to improve coverage, reliability, and speed across its Australian mobile network, with Warooka Tower providing a competitive telecommunications alternative for residents and businesses across the Yorke Peninsula region.
