Optus has switched on its first tower in Preston Beach delivering the seaside town with Optus coverage and capacity, further enhancing connectivity across regional WA.
The new Optus tower, located parallel the Forrest Highway and Old Coast Road, will provide the popular beach tourist destination with the improved ability to take and receive calls, send texts, and connect to the web while working, learning and on the move.
Optus Territory General Manager for Western Australia, Paul O’Neill, is thrilled to be providing mobile coverage in the region.
“We’re excited to be announcing the continued expansion of our Optus network across regional WA with another tower added to the region. Our regional coverage continues to go from strength to strength and we are thrilled to be able to offer Preston Beach locals the ability to do more of the things they love, in more places.”
“Our mission is to go above and beyond when it comes to expanding our footprint and strengthening our digital economy so that more people on the go, local residents, and businesses can stay connected while also having reliable and strong service.
“As we roll out our best network ever, we know that customers want faster download speeds and reliable connectivity, whether they are home or on the go. The tower in Preston Beach will give customers access to our superfast 4G service providing fantastic speeds for streaming and downloading content no matter where users are and allows competition and choice for local businesses and residents,” added Mr O’Neill.
