The plight of Australia’s drought-stricken farmers has captured the hearts and minds of the nation.

Channel 9’s Drought Relief Appeal is raising the much-needed funds for farmers’ relief.

Money raised will help Australian farmers with everyday living expenses, including access to health and financial services.

Optus has built a dedicated call centre to support Channel 9’s goal to raise $10 million through the telethon.

Starting with a special Drought Relief edition of TODAY from 5.30am on Monday, August 20, the Farm Aid Telethon will dominate regular programming on Nine throughout the day, including special reports and live interviews from the land.

Donations are being administered by Rotary Australia and will be distributed to the organisations who can address the immediate needs of our farmers with the help of the National Farmers’ Federation.
