Optus today unveiled the first of four Optus Stadium signs measuring a huge 42 x 5.8 metres that will hang on the façade of the Stadium.
Crafted by local Perth sign-makers, the family owned and operated Kingman Visual, each sign weighs more than 8 tonnes, is bolted into place with over 240 bolts and at night will be lit by more than 1050 energy efficient LED lights. The sign unveiling is a significant milestone in Optus’ 10-year partnership with the Government of Western Australia. The remaining three signs will be installed in the months ahead.
Optus Managing Director of Product and Marketing, Ben White, said “We’re really excited to see the amazing new Optus Stadium come to life, and we can’t wait to contribute to creating a truly world-leading fan experience for the people of Perth when they visit.
“Optus Stadium will host some amazing entertainment and sporting events in 2018 and beyond. I’m thrilled to announce that through our new Optus Stadium mobile app, which launched this week, one lucky fan could win a very special ‘golden ticket’ giving them access to five events of their choosing for free across the year.”
To celebrate the opening of Optus Stadium this Sunday, Optus is giving away a double pass for one winner and a friend to attend five events of their choice from the huge line-up of sport and entertainment events being held at Optus Stadium in 2018. Competition entry will be through the Optus Stadium app, which is now available to download for free through the Apple App store and Google Play store. The competition is open until 12 March 2018. See the Optus Stadium app for terms and conditions.
In addition to the Optus Stadium naming rights, Optus confirmed in November it has almost completed a three-year $275 million program of work to expand and improve network coverage across Western Australia.
