GOLD COAST SMALL-MEDIUM BUSINESSES TO RECEIVE BOOST FROM OPTUS BUSINESS CENTRE

2 May 2017

Optus to open new Business Centre catering specifically to small-to-medium businesses.

Gold Coast small-to-medium businesses (SMB) are set to benefit from a new Optus Business Centre, officially opening today in Bundall.

The Optus Business Centre, which looks after a local customer portfolio of over 2,500 accounts, will employ ten staff, of which five are from the local area. All staff are specially trained to work with SMB owners to provide telecommunications, network and communications solutions to problems that commonly face SMBs.

Matt Ball, Head of SMB at Optus, said, “We’ve been working with SMBs at the Gold Coast for many years and we’re really excited to be able to announce that we are bringing a dedicated service to them through this new Business Centre.

With the Queensland Government’s Advancing Small Business Queensland Strategy 2016-2020 focusing on support and growth in the SMB sector, Optus has launched the new store to provide a local, personalised support network to the growing number of Gold Coast SMBs.

“It’s exciting to introduce a new store with staff providing localised experience and support that’s game changing for how business partners work with SMBs. The feedback we have received to date from customers on our approach has been very positive,” Mr Ball said.

Optus customer for the past fifteen years, CB Construction Construction Manager Paul Clark said, “To have a new store in the local area with people familiar with my business and what I need is invaluable and I’m looking forward to it,” Mr Clark said.

The new Optus Business Centre store follows recent announcements from Optus to invest $4.5 million to improve 4G mobile coverage across the Tweed Valley and Coolangatta regions.

The new store will be located at Level 3, 130 Bundall Road, Bundall, 4217.
