An update on the impact to Optus' mobile network in Queensland as a result of Cyclone Debbie.
An Optus spokesperson said:
As of 11.30 am (AEST) today, there remains some localised impact to Optus’ mobile network in Queensland as a result of Cyclone Debbie.
We have restored mobile service in parts of Mackay, Bowen, Proserpine, Cannonvale, Moranbah, Sarina, Hamilton Island, Daydream Island, Clairview and Airlie Beach.
Localised flooding is hampering access to some sites in these areas but we are continuing to work closely with the relevant emergency services to get safe access to restricted areas and deploy portable generators to restore services as quickly as possible.
