OPTUS INTRODUCES SAMSUNG GALAXY S8 AND GALAXY S8+ WITH THE BEST VALUE EVER MY PLAN PLUS

From 12:01am (AEDT), Friday 31 March, Optus will begin online pre-orders for the new Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones.

Customers who purchase the Samsung Galaxy S8 on the $85 My Plan Plus will pay just $9 monthly handset repayments over the 24 month plan (minimum total cost $2256 over 24 months). Customers who purchase the Samsung Galaxy S8+ on the $100 My Plan Plus will pay $13 monthly repayments over the 24 month plan (minimum total cost $2712 over 24 months).

For a limited time, all new and recontracting customers who pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S8 or Samsung Galaxy S8+ will be eligible for Optus Mobile TV streaming for the life of the plan at no additional cost when they sign up to any 24 month My Plan Plus or Business plan.[i]

Currently Optus Mobile TV streaming is included at no additional cost on 24 month My Plan Plus/ Business plans with an access fee of $100 and over (minimum total cost $2400 over 24 months).

Customers who purchase the Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ on Optus’ new $160 Premium My Plan Plus will enjoy no additional handset repayments over the 24 month plan (minimum total cost $3840 over 24 months).

Premium My Plan Plus $160 customers will also be able to:

• Stream music from iHeartRadio, Spotify, Google Play Music and Pandora; watch the great content from Netflix and Stan with Mobile TV (subscriptions required); or, keep up with the latest Premier League action with Optus Sport, all without using any of the plan’s data[1].

• Get access to unlimited standard national and international roaming talk and SMS per month, plus 1.5GB of included roaming data with the Premium $160 My Plan Plus/Business or 1GB of included roaming data on the $130 My Plan Plus/Business to use in Zone 1 countries per month.

Customers who pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Samsung Galaxy S8+ before 11:59 PM (AEST) 27 April 2017 will receive a bonus all new Samsung Gear VR with controller valued at $199 (RRP).[ii] The Samsung Gear VR is a mobile virtual reality headset which is compatible with a range of Samsung Galaxy smartphones and associated devices.

Pre-orders are also available in Optus stores and via telesales from 9am AEDT, 31 March 2017.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will be available for purchase in Optus stores, online and through telesales from 21 April 2017.
