Optus Business has delivered state-of-the-art guest WiFi services for Australian property group, Mirvac (ASX: MGR), at two of their flagship shopping centres.
WiFi services have been delivered at Broadway Shopping Centre in Sydney and Orion Springfield Central in Brisbane.
John Paitaridis, Optus Business Managing Director said Mirvac has a tradition of high quality retail development and management, and adding connectivity within its centres was a great opportunity to enhance the customer experience for shoppers.
“With in-centre retail shopping experience continually evolving, especially with the use of smartphones, Optus Business understands the importance of delivering WiFi connectivity to retail consumers to improve their overall shopping experience.”
“We know that digital connectivity in shopping centres is important to customers because it enables them to remain connected when they are shopping, but it also supports personalised content and promotional experiences for shoppers directly.”
According to Mr Paitaridis, WiFi connectivity has resulted in significant benefits for shopping centre managers.
“Our clients are looking to harness foot traffic within their shopping centres and digital connectivity to create competitive advantage. Guest WiFi provides a tangible return on investment because shoppers are staying in centres longer and taking advantage of personalised offers and discounts.”
Software technology specialist Skyfii (ASX: SKF), supported the implementation of the technology and insights data analytics.
Mirvac operates a range of shopping malls in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and the ACT.
