Faster web browsing, downloading and better video streaming on the way
Optus is continuing work to bring 4G services to Nuriootpa with planned upgrades paving the way for the future introduction of superfast mobile internet speeds for customers with compatible 4G mobile phones and tablets.
Optus South Australia State Manager Steve Fairfield said, “These upgrades will bring us one step closer to introducing 4G to Optus customers in Nuriootpa. This will provide customers with a faster mobile internet experience and bring competition and choice in 4G services across Australia.”
The upgrades are part of a massive 4G expansion program that will bring the Optus 4G Plus network to regional areas across Australia.
As part of this expansion program, Optus mobile towers in Nurioopta will be upgraded during the next few weeks.
“As the mobile towers in Nuriootpa are being upgraded, there will be some further service interruptions for Optus mobile customers while this essential work is being completed,” Mr Fairfield said.
“Optus aims to complete these works as quickly as possible in order to keep service interruptions to a minimum. We know this may be frustrating and we thank customers for their patience while the upgrade work is being completed. Our priority is to ensure that the Optus 4G Plus experience is first-rate before we launch to customers in Nurioopta.”
Customers can find out more about Optus 4G Plus by visiting www.optus.com.au/4G, or visiting their local Optus store at 1/33 Murray Street, Nuriootpa to discuss the best mobile phones and tablets for their coverage needs.
