Optus and amaysim today announced the two companies have renewed their wholesale agreement. The renewed partnership will see amaysim deliver prepaid and postpaid services using the Optus 4G network for the first time.

We are delighted that amaysim has chosen the only wholesale provider of 4G mobile services in Australia to expand its products and services,” Mr Parcell said.
The Optus 4G network will deliver a number of benefits to amaysim customers including:
- Access to 4G services: Optus is rapidly expanding its 4G mobile network and will switch on new 4G services as 700MHz spectrum becomes available for commercial use in January 2015. Optus’ 4G network aims to reach 90% of Australians by April 2015.
- Faster mobile broadband: Faster mobile internet speeds for those customers in 4G areas with compatible mobile phones and tablets, allowing amaysim’s 4G customers to download, upload and stream at superfast speeds.
- Better network performance: The roll out of 4G means a better 3G experience as customers transition to the 4G network for their data sessions.
amaysim will begin offering prepaid and postpaid 4G mobile plans around Easter 2015.
