TROPICAL CYCLONE ITA - OPTUS UPDATE 16TH APRIL, 10.30AM

16 April 2014

Fibre cable repairs were conducted overnight and all affected mobile sites in Rockhampton, Yeppoon and Great Keppel Island are now back up and running.

Severe weather continues to hamper our access to the affected site in Cooktown. As soon as weather permits, engineers will attend the site. Customers can make voice calls as 2G remains in service at this site.

Replacement parts should arrive in Wonga today, in order for our team to restore 2G service to that site.
