OPTUS PHONES IN NEW FIXED PLANS FOR MORE CHOICE

Optus today announced a new range of fixed line broadband and voice plans, offering new customers simpler options when choosing the right plan for their usage. The range introduces a new broadband-only plan, new telephone-only plans and discounts when bundling products.

The new entry-level Optus Naked Broadband plan at $55 for 50GB per month is designed for customers who want the speed and reliability of a dedicated fixed internet connection to stay in touch with family and friends, book holidays online, and keep up to date with the latest news. New customers can get this plan on a 24 month contract with a minimum total cost of $1,410 (including $70 connection and $20 delivery fee).

Customers can also enjoy more value from the new telephone-only plans which start at $22 a month (minimum total cost is $528 over 24 months). This plan is ideal for customers who want the convenience of a home phone or businesses that need a second line for a fax. For customers or businesses who make lots of calls, the new $60 plan offers unlimited standard national and mobile calls for $60 per month (minimum total cost is $1,440.00 over 24 months).

As a further benefit, customers who have an Optus Postpaid mobile on a $30 monthly plan or above are eligible for a 10 per cent bundle discount off the above broadband and phone plans monthly access fees.

Additionally, Optus customers who sign up to the National Broadband Network for the first time can enjoy a 10 per cent discount off their broadband or phone service access fees when bundled with an Optus Postpaid mobile on a $30 or above monthly plan.
