Optus is embracing the much-loved Aussie tradition of BYO with today’s launch of its revamped bring your own phone (BYO) mobile plans. The range introduces month-to-month post-paid plans for customers who already have a network-unlocked mobile phone. Customers now have more flexibility with their mobile plans while taking advantage of the Optus superfast 4G networki.
For those who crave the latest technology and don’t hesitate to queue up for the newest mobile phone, these early adopters can enjoy more choice and flexibility while not being locked into a long-term contract.
Customers who don’t mind a hand-me-down phone can make the most of the new SIM only plans with all the benefits and competitive rates of Optus post-paid plans. Plus, they don’t have to worry about the inconvenience of regular recharging that comes with prepaid plans.
Vicki Brady, Managing Director of Customer, Optus said, “Whether you’ve waited in line for five hours to buy the latest smartphone or are still using a five year-old mobile phone, Optus BYO plans deliver great value and all the rewards our post-paid customers enjoy.”
Optus Rewardsii
For those who bring their own mobile phones to Optus, they will still enjoy all the benefits of being an Optus customer. Rewards include $10 movie tickets to Hoyts and selected independent cinemas, as well as the ability to earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points.
Optus also makes it easier for customers to control their usage through a number of self-service tools including My Optus App, My Account and My Optus Community for support and assistance.
