OPTUS BOOTS UP NEW MACHINE-TO-MACHINE OFFERINGS

Launch of a regional Jasper Wireless platform and an expanded partner portfolio to mobile health

Optus has today announced an expansion to its machine-to-machine (M2M) solutions portfolio for its business and enterprise customers. Through a new vendor partnership agreement with Jasper Wireless, Optus Business will now offer the Jasper Wireless M2M Control Centre as part of its M2M portfolio of products, giving customers greater functionality and control to manage their M2M services for applications such as vehicle telematics, m-health, smart metering, security, asset tracking and m-commerce.

Powered by Jasper Wireless, the Optus M2M Control Centre is a sophisticated, cloud-based platform offering that enables customers to launch, manage and rapidly scale their connected device business. Through a single web interface or via API, customers can efficiently deploy and self-manage their connected assets from anywhere in the world.

Optus has also expanded its M2M solution portfolio to include m-health applications via the establishment of a recent partnership with aged-care services provider HealthStrong. Through the new partnership, Optus will deliver innovative and cost effective solutions for insurance and government health providers.
