'YES' OPTUS WANGARATTA DONATES TO BULL'S HEAD HOTEL
12 January 2010, 09:00 AM
Local 'yes' Optus shop owner to star in new campaign
Local Wangaratta Optus franchisee, Walter Pasquali, has been selected to star in a new national advertising campaign that recognises his investment in the local community.
Walter is donating a large, flat screen television to the Bull's Head Hotel, ensuring locals never need miss the first bounce of any match.
Anthony Shiner, Optus Country General Manager, said selecting Walter's donation as the focus of the commercial was an easy choice, and Walter's investment should be commended.
"We support our franchisees and encourage community investment; Walter's donation will certainly please the patrons of the Bull's Head Hotel," Mr Shiner said.
Mark Sorrensen, the Bull's Head Hotel Manager, said the donation would help the hotel provide locals with better entertainment at the pub.
"They've been giving me heaps about getting a good television; we've had a really small old one in the corner until now. There's a fantastic community spirit in Wangaratta; Wally's generosity means locals will be able to get together at the pub to watch the big games together," Mr Sorrensen said.
Walter Pasquali, owner of the 'yes' Optus shop in Wangaratta, said the donation was something he is proud of.
"The Bull's Head Hotel is an important part of our community and I'm really pleased to be donating something that will make such a difference to the locals, particularly during AFL season," he said.
The new advertising campaign, launching on Sunday January 17, will highlight the enhanced competition in telecommunications brought to rural and regional Australia by Optus - through quality network coverage and better value for residents of Wangaratta and surrounds.
Note to Editor: Walter Pasquali's 'yes' Optus shop is located at 53 Murphy Street, Wangaratta.
