NEW EXECUTIVE APPOINTMENTS BOLSTER OPTUS' MARKETING TEAM

Optus announced today a number of key executive appointments to its Consumer and Business marketing teams with the appointment of Jim Jaques as Marketing Director, Optus Consumer and Hugh Humphrey as Marketing Director, Enterprise Mobile and Converged Services, Optus Business.

Mr Jim Jaques has been appointed to the role of Marketing Director of Optus' Consumer business. Jim has 20 years of consumer marketing experience across the Financial Services and Telecommunications industries. His experience includes operational responsibility for marketing in both Australia and Canada. Prior to joining Optus, Jim held a series of senior roles with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Bell Mobility Cellular and VISA International.

As Marketing Director, Enterprise Mobile and Converged Services in Optus Business, Hugh Humphrey is responsible for creating integrated enterprise mobility offerings for Optus' corporate and government customers, spearheading Optus' fixed and mobile convergence solutions.

Prior to joining Optus, Hugh worked in the consulting arms of PricewaterhouseCoopers and later IBM. More recently he headed up Vodafone Australia’s Business Markets team where he was responsible for enterprise products, segments and brand covering the SoHo, SME and enterprise and government sectors.
