OPTUS BRINGS NEW NOKIA ESERIES TO AUSTRALIAN BUSINESSES

Meeting the needs of business mobile users, Optus announced today plans to offer the new Nokia E60 and E61 handsets. The E61 will be available to business customers from July with the E60 to follow later this year.

The Nokia E60 and the Nokia E61, each with its own distinct design, are built on a platform that meets the security and manageability needs of corporate IT professionals.

More Australians are using hand-held mobile devices to access corporate email. An Optus study in May 2006 found mobile access to email tripled since August 2005, from three per cent to nine per cent of users surveyed¹.

Offering a range of local connectivity options such as WLAN, Bluetooth and Infrared and being USB 2.0 compatible, the Eseries handsets also double as a handy modem for laptop users.

The new business-optimised devices support remote device management based on OMA DM² giving the IT manager powerful tools to remotely control and protect corporate data on the device and configure devices.
