NEW ADDITIONS TO OPTUS SENIOR MANAGEMENT TEAM

Optus Chief Executive Paul O'Sullivan today announced two additions to further strengthen the Optus Senior Management Team.

Mr Peter Bithos will join Optus in late October as Director Strategy and Corporate Development. He will take responsibility for Optus' corporate strategy, working in conjunction with the business units to identify business and development opportunities and to continue to drive the transformation initiatives.

For the last nine years, Mr Bithos was with business consulting firm Bain & Co working in the technology and telecommunication practice as the Senior Engagement Leader in 'strategy and turn' around projects for Fortune 500 companies.

Ms Karyn Baylis will begin as Director Organisational Renewal on 18 October. She will work with various members of the Optus senior team to align the external Optus brand with the internal culture.

Ms Baylis previously held sales, marketing and organisational change roles at IAG and Qantas and has a strong track record of driving change through these organisations.

"I am pleased to welcome these talented people to the Optus Senior Leadership team. We will benefit from their experience, skills and enthusiasm," Mr O'Sullivan said.

Ms Baylis and Mr Bithos will report to Mr O'Sullivan.
