Optus has significantly improved mobile coverage in Lismore following the installation of a new mobile tower in the town.
Rob Parcell, Director Victoria, said Optus was focused on enhancing and extending mobile coverage in regional towns and along important roadways.
"Lismore has benefited from Optus' $90 million dollar investment in Victoria over the past year. The objective of the new site in Lismore is to provide maximum coverage to the township, and along the Hamilton Highway between Cressy and Darlington.
"The mobile tower has been built on the highest point overlooking the Lismore township, and has three antennae facing north, south east, and south west.

Local Optus dealer, Gary Work of Optus World Geelong, said the Lismore site would complement recent new coverage in Cressy, Wallinduc, and Mortlake.
"Optus has worked hard to improve mobile coverage in the Victorian region over the last 12 months and has plans to build new sites in Darlington, Pura Pura, Caramut, and Penshurst over the next few months.
"People living, working and travelling in Lismore will have a greater choice of GSM mobile network as a result of improved coverage," Mr Work said.
