OPTUS AND FOXTEL REACH AFL PROGRAMMING AGREEMENT

Optus and FOXTEL today announced that they had concluded an agreement for the carriage of FOXTEL's AFL service, FOX Footy Channel, on Optus Television for a period of three years.

Optus Chief Executive, Chris Anderson, said: "This is an excellent outcome for Optus and our customers. They will have access to premium AFL programming through the FOX Footy Channel which will significantly strengthen the Optus TV line-up."

FOXTEL Chief Executive, Kim Williams, said: "FOXTEL is extremely pleased to be able to provide FOX Footy Channel to a wider group of subscribers and contribute to the development of both the AFL and pay-TV services in Australia."
