- If you prefer, book in an Optus nbn technician to professionally install your modem. Either way, we’re here to help. So if you get stuck, call Optus nbn on 1300 300 427.
Power Failure
nbn equipment operates on mains power. Optus nbn does not supply a battery backup. In the event of a blackout or power failure your Optus nbn services will not work. This means no home phone and no data.
If you have a serious illness or medical condition, require disability services, have a back-to-base alarm, or require an uninterrupted telephone line, you should consider whether this product is right for you. Call 1300 300 427 to discuss your alternatives.
In case of a blackout or power failure, we recommend you keep a charged up mobile phone to make emergency calls.
