4G evolution to pave
the way for next
generation of mobile
apps and services
Businesses are generally optimistic
about the power of 4G to improve
their productivity and how they
connect with customers.
Half of organisations see 4G mobile
services improving application
performance through faster speeds
and lower latency. Forty-seven percent
expect 4G to increase productivity,
while 45% rank engaging customers via
mobile apps as a main benefit, followed
by increased use of mobile as a sales
and delivery channel (40%). Consumers
also see the benefits of faster transfer
speeds and believe it will encourage
them to make more transactions
on their devices, after the ability
to download content faster (44%).
The speed and latency improvements
of 4G are the main benefits for 56%
of government organisations, slightly
more than the average, followed by
54% citing increased productivity.
As 4G continues to roll out across
Australia, promising faster speeds and
lower latency, and more 4G-enabled
mobile devices enter the market,
organisations can increasingly look
to take advantage of mobility to find
new ways to service and connect
with customers and employees.
