OPTUS INVESTING IN TWO NEW SITES TO IMPROVE MOBILE COVERAGE ACROSS THE SHOALHAVEN

Optus will build two new mobile sites in the Shoalhaven over the next 12 months, improving 4G network coverage and customer experience across the region. 

Located at Lake Conjola and Shoalhaven Heads the new sites will benefit residents, businesses and the thousands of holidaymakers that travel to the greater Shoalhaven each year. 

In the past 12 months Optus has built six new mobile sites locally including sites at Nowra CBD South, Vincentia North, Lake Tabourie, Nowra Hill Central, Wandandian and Falls Creek North, delivering coverage and service improvements. In addition to these new sites Optus also invested in upgrading sites located at Nowra South, Currarong, Nowra West and Bomaderry. 

"We’ve completed a significant amount of work around the area during the last year, investing $3.65 million in building and upgrading a number of sites across the region. We plan to continue this investment over the next 12 months with the implementation of these two new sites at Lake Conjola and Shoalhaven Heads, optimising our coverage even further,” said Matt Willis, State Market Manager NSW. 

“For residents, businesses and visitors to the Shoalhaven having reliable and consistent mobile coverage is a must and we continue to work with the local community to identify priority locations for our investment infrastructure, such as along major regional transport routes and in small towns,” said Mr Willis.  

“We see and hear the demand for more mobile coverage in regional and rural Australia and we are working hard to continue delivering on this need.”
