CYCLONE DEBBIE - NETWORK UPDATE - 3PM QUEENSLAND TIME/ 4PM SYDNEY TIME

An update on the impact to the Optus mobile network in some cyclone-affected areas of Queensland.

As of 3pm (AEST) today, there has been localised impact to the Optus mobile network in some cyclone-affected areas of Queensland. Optus customers in affected areas may experience some disruptions to their voice and mobile internet services.

There are disruptions to Optus mobile sites in Bowen, Airlie Beach, Proserpine, Mackay, Hamilton Island, Daydream Island and Dingo Beach.

Optus technicians are on standby to deploy portable generators and additional support resources to respond to network disruptions.

We are working closely with the relevant authorities to enable quick and safe access to restricted areas.
