Choose the tablet you want
“Customers tell us they love sharing data between their devices, but they’re also looking for a plan with an affordable tablet option. Thanks to their feedback, we’re adding a range of affordable tablets to our mobile broadband offer,” Mr Cowan said.
For example, customers who want entertainment with a Mobile Broadband plan and device can purchase an Air 2 (16 GB) on a $35 Mobile Broadband plan with $10 monthly device repayments over 24 months, and receive 10GB of data to use within Australia each month. For an additional $10 a month, customers can stream Presto and Netflix, data free (subscriptions required) (total mimimum cost over 24 months is $1320).
Trade Up after 12 months
New and existing Mobile Broadband customers who sign up or re-contract to Optus’ latest Mobile Broadband plans on a $30 or above 24 month contract can take advantage of Optus’ Tablet Trade Up offer after only 12 months.
Customers who want to say goodbye to their current tablet and trade up to a new model can simply head into their local Optus store, return their current tablet in good working order, pay a one-off fee of $99, and get a brand new tablet on a new 24 month plan.
Customers also have the option of trading up to a new tablet after 12 months without saying goodbye to their current device. Simply pay the remaining full cost of the current tablet, including any amount that Optus was going to cover, and get a new tablet on a new 24 month plan.
