OPTUS WHOLESALE SIGNS 2SG WHOLESALE

4 August 2016

Combines M2M capability with application and business tools.

Optus Wholesale has announced a new alliance with 2SG Wholesale to distribute M2M, IoT and GPS products and capability into the wholesale reseller market.

The deal combines Optus’ M2M carriage capability with 2SG’s numerous applications and business tools that resellers can use to provide their customers with GPS asset management, tracking and M2M capabilities.

2SG Wholesale already provide M2M and GPS services in the transport and logistics, and mining sectors.

“M2M is a growing market and this new relationship creates an exciting opportunity for resellers to participate in the market,” said John Castro, Head of Marketing and Strategy, Optus Wholesale.

“Optus is pleased to be working with 2SG because the M2M market represents such a terrific growth opportunity for us. M2M is still in its infancy in Australia and is still currently under-serviced by wholesale-enabled Service Providers.”

“From personal tracking to complex regulatory transport systems – including user friendly tracking platform for reporting, visibility, productivity and compliance needs, 2SG offers a full suite of applications and products to provide customers the data on their assets to make better business decisions.”

2SG’s products offer a diverse range of business and data applications and provide the window for participant access with lower penetration, minimal set up and a market ready product.

Mark Shield, Managing Director of 2SG Wholesale said “We are thrilled to be working with Optus to provide the tools, products and expertise resellers require to successfully break into this rapidly growing market. M2M is the way of the future and the business opportunities it provides are tremendous.”

The relationship will see the integration of a wide array of 3G and 4G hardware into a white labelled monitoring software platform that includes vehicle, asset, trailer, equipment and personal trackers to complex regulatory transport applications.

Mr Castro said the relationship delivered excellent complementary products to Optus’ existing suite of telco and data offerings.
