OPTUS ANNOUNCES EXCLUSIVE TWO-YEAR EXETEL NBN AGGREGATION DEAL

Extends its decade long wholesale relationship with Australia's largest independent ISP provider.

Optus Wholesale has announced it will deliver NBN aggregation services exclusively to Australian ISP provider Exetel, extending its ten-year relationship.

Exetel is one of Australia’s largest broadband internet providers, with Optus Wholesale providing Exetel with ULL, Mobile, NBN, TAS (total access services) and corporate data services. Exetel has a focus on the small-to-medium business segment.

The new deal follows an exclusive three-year 4G wholesale mobile deal signed with Exetel in May.

Mr Parcell said since 2005, Optus Wholesale had supported Exetel across a range of products and built a great business relationship.

“Through our relationship we are able to provide Exetel with a platform to market nationally. We see Exetel as a key partner and look forward to a continued relationship with them.”

Optus is providing Exetel with wholesale aggregation access to all NBN POIs and access technologies available from NBN, via its Residential Broadband over NBN product (RBBoNBN). RBBoNBN allows customers to enter the NBN market quickly, and gain full access to the NBN footprint with carrier-grade backhaul without heavy capital investment.
