Browse More, Stream More, Watch More with Unlimited Data.
As Maitland welcomes the NBN, Optus research reveals the demand for unlimited broadband data is at an all-time high.
The average household in regional New South Wales (NSW) now owns 6.8* internet enabled devices, with 77% stating they use their home broadband more than ever before.
On a typical evening, over one in four (28%) households in regional NSW have three or more people using the home broadband at the same time and half (45%) are using the internet to enjoy entertainment streaming services like Netflix.
Using the household’s entire data allowance is a growing worry for many families, with 28% of regional and 43% of metropolitan-based residents concerned about chewing through their broadband data allowance before the end of the month.
Having sufficient data is a universal need, with 90% of home broadband customers wanting the security of a broadband plan that gives them sufficient data to do whatever they want.
Ben White, Vice President of Fixed Marketing for Optus said, “No-one wants to count gigabytes when they’re at home relaxing. Unlimited data is all about giving customers peace of mind so they can browse, stream and watch as much content as they want.
“Now Maitland locals can get more out of their broadband by combining an Optus unlimited data plan with all the benefits that come with having the NBN, including faster upload and download speeds, a more reliable and consistent connection and a better streaming experience without the frustrations of buffering,” Mr White said.
