CYCLONE MARCIA - NETWORK UPDATE - 9.30AM QUEENSLAND TIME

As of 9.30am (AEST) today, there remains some localised impact to the Optus mobile and fixed networks in Queensland.

Network Update

Optus engineers continue to closely monitor the network to minimise impacts on our customers. We are working closely with the relevant authorities to enable quick and safe access to affected areas.

• Mobile, fixed landline and broadband services in Yeppoon have been restored. Back-up generators have been installed at sites through Yeppoon to address power outages.

• Mobile voice and data services in Byfield have been restored with the assistance of generators.

• Mobile voice and data services in Gracemere have been restored.

• Optus customers may experience some disruptions to mobile coverage within Overlapping coverage from surrounding mobile sites should ensure service through Frenchville.

• Due to ongoing power outages and difficulty accessing the area, there is currently no Optus mobile service at Mt Morgan.
