4.00PM UPDATE: BRISBANE STORM, OPTUS NETWORK STATUS

4.00pm Brisbane Storm, Optus Network Status 

• Following severe weather events across Brisbane and greater metropolitan area yesterday, power outages in parts of South Brisbane affected some Optus mobile towers in the area today. Fixed telephony lines were also  affected.

• Optus technicians have been working today to restore power to mobile towers affected by yesterday’s storms.

• The majority of our towers are fully operational and we confirm we have no major service issues in Brisbane.

• We will continue to monitor the situation closely.
