TROPICAL CYCLONE ITA - OPTUS UPDATE 15TH APRIL, 10.30AM

We’d like to remind Optus customers impacted by cyclone damage that they can call us on 133 937 for help with questions regarding cancellations, financial support if needed, or organising free landline-to-mobile call diversions.

 Network Update:

• Services at Turtle Beach and Mossman have been restored overnight.
• Current network issues as a result of Cyclone Ita:
  • Wonga: 3G is operating at our Wonga site, but 2G is down. Our team will attend with a replacement part today.
  • Cooktown: we are investigating a 3G fault at this site.
  • Rockhampton, Yeppoon and Great Keppel Island: unfortunately, we’ve had a cable fibre break in the Rockhampton area. Our technician has arrived on-site and started investigations in order to repair the break.

We know it’s a difficult time in North Queensland, and our teams are working hard to restore services as soon as possible.
