OPTUS UNLOCKS MOBILE BROADBAND PLANS WITH SIMPLER OPTIONS AND MORE FLEXIBILITY

Optus today launched a new range of mobile broadband plans to offer Australians simpler price points, fairer options and more flexibility with their plan to avoid large excess data charges.

The Optus My Mobile Broadband suite of plans gives customers assurance over their plan with a flat cost for additional data, usage alerts, improved self-service online and rewards for holding multiple products.

Available for new and existing customers, the plans start from $20 per month for 1GB to $60 per month for 10GB on a month to month, 12 or 24 month contract (min total cost $240 over 12 months or $480 on 24 months, excluding any device costs).

The plan features a number of ways to give customers more control over their spend:

• Customers who use more than their included data for the month are automatically given an additional 1GB of data, charged at a flat fee of $10. This resets to their selected base plan each month and helps avoid hefty excess data fees.
• Optus My Mobile Broadband Plans provide usage alerts* when customers have reached 50%, 85% and 100% of their data plan inclusion and 85% and 100% on every additional 1GB of data provided.
• Optus has combined online services for Mobile Broadband and Mobile in one convenient spot in Optus’ My Account so customers can manage their bills under the one roof.
• Customers who can’t live without their data can get cheaper GBs for picking a higher monthly plan.
• Additionally, customers who bundle their mobile broadband with their existing Optus mobile will get to enjoy a 25 per cent discount off their monthly mobile broadband access fee.
