TINIE TEMPAH SWAPS SPOTS WITH LABRINTH FOR OPTUS ROCKCORPS CONCERT

8 March 2013

Tinie Tempah, the renowned British MC with a host of number one songs, is set to rock Australians in the exclusive Optus RockCorps live concert on 11 April, 2013 at the Hordern Pavilion, Sydney. Tinie Tempah has stepped in to complete the line-up as his collaborator on musical hit ‘Earthquake’, Labrinth, is now unable to perform due to scheduling difficulties.

Marc Williams, Labrinth’s manager said, “We would have loved to have had Labrinth out in Australia, it was a perfect opportunity for him. However his recording schedule now won’t allow it and I can only apologise on behalf of Labrinth for having to do this. I know he was looking forward to working with Optus RockCorps and he wouldn’t want to let any of his fans down.”

Stephen Greene, RockCorps CEO said, “Tinie is a dynamic performer and he is going to bring his great music to an already amazing line-up. It’s great that artists of such impressive stature are eager to support Optus RockCorps and reward Australians for the work they’re doing.”

We know this is disappointing for Labrinth fans who have already given their time, but we are confident that your four hours will be well rewarded with the addition of Tinie Tempah to the amazing line-up of The Script and Guy Sebastian.”

Optus RockCorps is a social initiative and partnership that rewards four hours of volunteer work with tickets to see exclusive, live concerts with some of the world’s biggest musical acts.

Tickets for the Optus RockCorps concert are neither on sale nor part of a competition; volunteers over 16 years old must help an association for four hours with a project specifically organised by Optus RockCorps. Register from today at www.optusrockcorps.com.au or by calling 1800 ROCK 800.

About RockCorps
RockCorps was dreamed up by a group of American friends in Los Angeles, California, who saw it as a way of getting people to know each other, build neighbourhoods and have fun while doing it. By channelling the power of music and celebrity, RockCorps’ mission is to make volunteering as much a part of youth lifestyle as sports, music, fashion and gaming. Entertainers and politicians have sung the praises of RockCorps alike. It was recently given an award by the UK’s Prime Minister, David Cameron. To date volunteers have given over 500,000 hours to local communities across the world including the US, UK, France, Israel, Mexico, Colombia and Venezuela. RockCorps’ first concert took place in New York in 2005. Since then RockCorps has produced spectacular celebration concerts around the world. Artists such as Lady Gaga, Snoop Dogg, Maroon 5, Rihanna, David Guetta, Diddy, Akon, Kelly Rowland, and Kanye West, have all joined the RockCorps movement.
